Resonant Trinities is about God, God's image & likeness, the Trinity mystery, and my wife Sharon's angel. Resonant Trinities is about inspiration, hope, and recovery from a terminal prognosis against all odds but here I am 11 years later loving life and family and thanking God. Resonant Trinities is about reason and faith. It is about asking questions about your faith and learning to use reason to ask better questions from the answers you get. Sharon's angel had been trying to get through but I just thought they were a series of coincidences, some so extraordinary that I asked often if a comet was streaking towards earth because something really strange was going on. As far as inspiration was concerned, I was a spiritual mule not knowing a 2x4 was in my future. If you wait as I did, the angel might just quit making the effort. So, ask your questions now. God's responses are not just appropriate, they are crafted to make the search enjoyable, even fun. I leaned so much more than the answers to the questions asked. That is so like the God I have come to know, live with every day, and what a sense of humor God has! I share it with you in Resonant Trinities. It became apparent during research for Resonant Trinities, that the questions I had about my faith, and there were a lot of them, are questions shared by millions of adults and young people. To get anywhere, I had to narrow my list of questions. I focused on just three words that had great impact on me, similar to the feeling I get when I picture Moses asking his feeble question seeking a name from the voice and the answer was: "I am that I am." Close your eyes and say that slowly with as deep a voice as you can muster. Can you feel it somewhere deep inside you? If you did, you just "flicked the glass lightly" and resonated like the crystal glass that "rings" when you flick it with your fingernail. If you didn't resonate, read Resonant Trinities and try again.

I found answers that led to better questions. The answers came as marvelously clever clues that took some time and considerable effort to put together. God gave me the time, the resources, and let me borrow my wife's angel. Without Sharon's patient angel, Resonant Trinities does not get written and I'm standing before God having to explain why so many blessings given me were wasted and answers that may help others were not found.
According to one doctor, that meeting with God was supposed to happen eleven years ago. My current cardiologist calls me his "wunderkind." I wonder what God calls me?
So there I was, in Bryan-College Station, Texas, with a first book produced by a great publisher. That beats the terrible odds against an unknown writer getting a first book published unless God pitches in. The odds? Only 2-3% of all manuscripts written get published by a royalty publisher and most of those are by people with big names with big followings: like Sarah, Barack, Michelle, Joel and so on.
As I write this, I am living on Kaua'i Hawaii. How Sharon & I got here is another story. Teaser: The last chapter of Resonant Trinities is about an island coming out of the sea of noise, a poem of creation. Some consider Hawaii and Kaua'i in particular the original Garden of Eden: Kaua'i is named "The Garden Isle" the first out of the sea in this string of volcanoes. The book was written before there was any inkling of moving here. Just another coincidence, right?
My plan now is to write about some of the great injustices I found along the way to writing Resonant Trinities. If I write fast and well, maybe I can get an indefinite stay. It's not that I do not want to go, but perhaps by then, I will be worthy of the meeting.

From the INTRODUCTION The writing of this book was an exercise in reason, a discovery of a deeper love, and a strengthening of faith in God. Resonant Trinities comes from my heart. It’s a different heart than the one that was supposed to quit beating ten years ago.
